Visa to Russia

Entry to Russia

As of 1 January 2021, citizens of 62 countries are allowed to enter Russia without a visa. Citizens of an additional 55 countries can apply for an electronic visa, valid for up to 15 days. This e-visa costs $52, and applications must be submitted on the official website of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation no earlier than 40 days and no later than 4 days before the planned entry date.

Countries eligible for e-visas include Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cambodia, China (including Taiwan), Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, North Korea, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Iran, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Myanmar, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Oman, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Vatican City, and Vietnam.

Recently, Russia expanded its e-visa program to include citizens of 11 more countries: Barbados, Bhutan, Zimbabwe, Jordan, Kenya, Papua New Guinea, Saint Lucia, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkmenistan, and Eswatini (formerly Swaziland). However, Serbia and Andorra have been removed from the e-visa list due to bilateral agreements allowing mutual visa-free travel for their citizens.

Citizens of other countries can obtain visas at Russian consular offices after receiving an invitation from us, provided upon booking a tour.

To apply for a Russian visa, you will need to submit the following documents to the Russian Embassy:Russian visa

  • Visa application form
  • Insurance policy
  • Invitation letter to the Russian Federation
  • 3x4 cm photograph
  • Your passport

We offer free invitation letters for our clients. Within 1-2 days of receiving your advance payment for the tour, you will receive the invitation letter via email. Simply print it out and include it with your other documents when applying for your visa at the Russian Embassy.

After your arrival in Russia, you will have five working days to register your visa at your place of residence. For our clients, this process is free of charge, and we will handle it for you.
