Mt. Elbrus: Climb and Ski Tour
Mount Elbrus, one of the Seven Summits, is the highest mountain in Europe. Its western peak rises to 5,642 meters, while the eastern peak stands slightly lower at 5,621 meters. This dormant volcano is situated between the Black and Caspian Seas in the Russian Federation, just 20 kilometers from the Georgian border. The last eruption occurred approximately 2,000 years ago. The mountain's two peaks are remnants of the volcano's ancient craters, with traces of solidified lava still visible on its slopes.

In addition, we manage several hotels and mountaineeringcamps in both the South and North Elbrus regions, offering a wide range of accommodation options. Our team includes over 20 multilingual guides, enabling us to provide private tours for groups or the opportunity to join one of our 150 guaranteed departures for the 2025 season. During July and August, tours depart daily.
For international companies and guides
According to Russian legislation, only Russian travel companies are authorized to organize commercial tours within the country. We offer special partnership opportunities for international travel companies, providing support in organizing tours for foreign groups or adding participants to our scheduled international group tours.
Entry to Russia
Starting January 1, 2021, citizens of 60 countries can enter Russia without a visa.
Citizens of 55 other countries, including Austria, Bahrain, Belgium, Bulgaria, Cambodia, China (including Taiwan), Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, North Korea, Denmark, Estonia, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Hungary, India, Indonesia, Iran, Ireland, Iceland, Italy, Japan, Kuwait, Latvia, Lithuania, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Malaysia, Malta, Mexico, Monaco, Myanmar, Netherlands, North Macedonia, Norway, Oman, Philippines, Poland, Portugal, Romania, San Marino, Saudi Arabia, Singapore, Slovakia, Slovenia, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, Turkey, Vatican City, and Vietnam, can apply for an e-visa. This e-visa costs $52, is valid for up to 15 days, and applications must be submitted via the official website of the Russian Ministry of Foreign Affairs no earlier than 40 days and no later than 4 days before the intended date of entry.
Recently, Russia expanded its e-visa program to include citizens of 11 more countries: Barbados, Bhutan, Zimbabwe, Jordan, Kenya, Papua New Guinea, Saint Lucia, Tonga, Trinidad and Tobago, Turkmenistan, and Eswatini (formerly Swaziland). However, Serbia and Andorra have been removed from the e-visa list due to bilateral agreements allowing mutual visa-free travel for their citizens.

SOUTH ROUTE 2025
The ascent of Mount Elbrus from the south begins in Terskol. This route is widely regarded as the easiest and is perfect for beginners. With its well-developed infrastructure, comfortable hotels, cable cars, and the option for a quick ascent by snowmobile, it accounts for around 90% of all ascents. Our carefully designed program, including an overnight stay at the Hotel Cheeper-Azau at 3,000 meters, helps reduce altitude-related health risks and significantly increases your chances of reaching the summit.

Dear Irina, This is to thank you for all the arrangements you did for our recent Elbrus Climb, 11th to 18th August 2019. I am also sorry that we couldn't meet in person. Your base-camp team at Terskol is wonderful. The caring, helping and loving attitude of Anastasia is worthy of appreciation. The very wonderful gift by her on my birthday was beyond any thing. Her other team at rentals and office was very efficient. The accommodation and food arrangements both at Terskol and summit camp was good. The reception and pick-up at Mineralnye Vody airport was a big relief for us in a foreign country. Our Trek Guide, Dana, was very efficient and helping. Her guidance made the climb easier for all our team-mates. I also must thank you for a very efficient team on slopes for the acclimatization and summit climbs. Although I could not summit myself, you made my Elbrus climb a memorable event, witch I shall cherish throughout my life. "There was a lot of uncertainly leading up to this climb of Elbrus. Back in February there were a couple terrorist incidents reported in the news. Three Russian skiers were killed and others injured when their van was stopped by armed men on the way to the Mt Elbrus ski area. An explosion on Elbrus brought down some gondola cars on the ski lift. The government responded by engaging and killing terrorists in a battle near the mountain. The mountain was closed for a few weeks and then reopened. Things then stayed quiet in the area. Just weeks before we were to leave for Elbrus the mountain was closed again. There had not been any new incidents to trigger this closing. Only the onset of summer.
Meanwhile we had our visas, paid for plane tickets and arranged and paid for tours of Moscow and St Petersburg. Cancelling the trip entirely was not a reasonable option for us. Even if we couldn’t go to the mountain we were going to Russia. But we did want to climb..." Read the the report
